历史

高尔夫运动最早出现在15世纪的苏格兰地区。当时，这项运动只有男士可以参与。据说高尔夫（Golf）的名字由来就是“Gentlemen Only Lady Forbidden”四个单词的首字母组合而成。如今，这个说法早就过时了，越来越多的女士频繁出现在球场参与这项运动。

高尔夫的玩法规则最早在1754年，由圣安德鲁斯皇家古老高尔夫俱乐部确立。这个俱乐部与美国高尔夫协会并称高尔夫权威机构。
The rules were established in 1754 by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews , that is still considered as the authority together with another guarantor, the United States Golf Association.

如何选择上装？
How to choose the "top" ?
男士 Men

1.打高尔夫需要穿polo衫，类似有领子的T恤。
T-shirts or sleeveless t-shirts are banned. Men can wear a long sleeveless sweater but over a polo shirt.
2.禁止穿T恤和无袖衫。当然男士在polo衫外可以套一件无袖的毛衫。
Golfers must wear a polo shirt, i.e a T-shirt with a collar.
3. 细节上，polo衫下摆不能露出，需塞进裤子里（长裤或百慕大式短裤）。
Golfers like details, so you will be asked to put your polo into the pants or bermuda shorts.
4. 冬天，男士可以破例穿一件外套保暖。

女士上衣选择更随意，但仍要有领子。女士可以选择无袖上衣。
