尊敬的会员及嘉宾：

Dear Valued Members and Guests:

一个多月来上海遭遇了史上最高温的炎热酷暑，这样的恶劣天气给高尔夫球场的果岭带来了极大的压力，也考验着草坪保养的一线工作人员。
This past month the city of Shanghai has experienced record breaking Summer heat and humidity. These extreme weather conditions have brought a lot of stress to the putting greens of the golf courses which seriously challenges the workers from the course maintenance department.

由于地理位置在市中心，我们球场里的炎热程度要高于其他高尔夫球场。球场的果岭草为本特草，受恶劣天气的影响，不幸处于最脆弱的阶段，多个果岭未能在“战高温一役”中获胜，并出现了真菌疾病，其中以18号果岭受害最为严重。球场草坪保养团队已经采取了必要的措施保护所有推杆果岭，但是，我们仍决定在18号洞设置临时果岭（仅平日使用），以减少果岭草压力，使其能尽快得到有效的恢复，回归到良好状态。
Because our golf course is in the heart of the city we’ve experienced higher levels of heat and humidity compared to other courses. Our specific species of Bent grass on the putting greens, unfortunately, hasn’t survived well. Many of the greens have lost the fight and developed a fungal disease with number 18 being the worst. Our maintenance team have already initiated the necessary procedures to all the putting greens however, we have decided to make a temporary green on Hole # 18 on weekdays to protect the green from further damages.  This will help relieve the stress and help protect the grass in order for it to recover and return to a good playing condition.
