Long Iron VS Hybrid

用3，4或者5号铁上果岭有问题？或者上果岭之后球停不住？那就是时候去考虑配置一套混合杆了，抛弃难打的长铁，换上铁木杆吧。

If you are having issues with getting to the green or the ball staying on the green when you’re hitting your 3, 4 or 5 irons. It might be time for you to start considering a mix up of your bag and get those hard to hit long irons out and put some hybrids in to replace them.

WHY为什么？

因为从球具厂商研究的数据来看职业球员的球包里都有哪些装备时，我们会发现，每36位球手中只有2位球手会使用2号铁，6位球手使用3号铁以及有28位球手会把4号铁当作自己最长的铁杆。

One of the manufacturers statistics about what is in the Pros bags. Of their 36 players, only 2 still carry a 2-iron, 6 players carried a 3-iron and 28 players carried a 4-iron as their longest club in their bag. As we all know the professional players proficiency for ball striking is much higher than us normal golfers.

职业球员的长铁持有数据

正如我们所知，职业球手的击球效率比普通球手的高很多，这时我们就要问，是不是自己主动增加了这项运动的难度？

So the question that all of us need to ask ourselves is why are we choosing to make the game hard on ourselves than is needed.

可以打多高？

How high can you hit it？

选择球杆要考量的最重要因素应该是：用这只球杆你可以打多高。如果使用最长的铁杆时球路很低，球不会停在果岭上而是滚过去。这时铁木杆和球道木技术就派上用场了，它们能够帮助我们把球打的更高，球的下降角度或者说落地角度会更陡，所以球就会更快地停在果岭上。

The most important factor for the consideration of the clubs in your bag is how high can you hit the ball with them. If you’re hitting your longest irons too low, then when they hit on the green the ball will not stop on the green. It will roll right over. This is where the technology of the hybrid and fairway woods comes into assist us and help to launch the ball higher and the result is that they descent or landing angle is then steeper and the ball will stop faster on the green.

可以挥多快？

How fast can you swing it ？

挥杆速度是配置球杆时考量的关键因素之一。如果6号铁的挥杆速度达到时速85里，这就意味着你球包里最长的杆应该是5号铁。如果发现自己的长铁距离都差不多或者区别不大，这就是时候用铁木杆来替换它了，有效掌控你的距离差。

Swing speed is the one of the key factors that can be used to identify your bag configuration. If your 6-iron swing speed is at 85 MPH, this indicates that the longest iron in your bag should be a 5-iron. If you notice that your long irons all go the same or not much difference between them, that is when taking out your long iron and replacing it with a hybrid will be very beneficial to your gapping distances of your bag.

挥杆速度匹配长铁

如果球包里有只比5号还长的铁杆，但是你又没办法把一号木打出300码。那就是时候将那只铁杆换成铁木杆了。

If you still have an iron in your bag any longer than a 5-iron and you can’t hit your driver over 300 yards. It’s time to make the switch to hybrids.
